Hot and getting hotter

I don’t know what the temperatures are like where you are. Here it’s hot and getting hotter. We’re in a weather system that will bring us dangerously high heat. Heat indices today are between 105 and 109. By dangerous, that means, don’t go outside unless you have to. We’re warned that

Residents with outdoor activities as well as and vacationers not accustomed to these high indices are urged to drink plenty of water, wear light weight and light colored clothing and take frequent breaks from the heat. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.”

Well, what to do? Stay inside with a tall cool drink and read a book.
