It’s da bomb

On this morning’s beach walk I spotted a bomb half-buried in the sand at the shoreline. No kidding! And it was smoking. Officer Jim Williams from the Port Aransas Police Department got called out to investigate. He suspected it had come off a Navy ship. Likely it was a training mine. Cylindrical in shape, it appeared to be metallic, maybe about four feet long and two feet wide, with plenty of hazardous materials warning stickers on it. At any rate, Officer Williams said that the Bomb Squad was going to come and take care of it, making the beach safe once again for early morning beachwalkers.
