Coastal Paint-Out

 Port A GalleryAward-winning Texas artists spend 3 days painting, en plein air — outdoors — the very beaches, bistros and backyards that make this island community a treasure to visitor and resident alike. A show and sale of the resulting work will be held Saturday evening at Port A Gallery. 345 N. Alister St. Keep an eye out for the artists, Thursday and  Friday, Oct. 13 and 14. On Saturday, Oct. 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. there will be a “Quick Draw” on Alister St. between Cotter and Ave. G. Artists will start and finish a work in the two hours. Canvases will be judged by the public that afternoon.  From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  attend a reception, show and sale at the gallery. Sale of paintings benefit the Port Aransas Museum’s Farley Boat Works Project. The sale continues Sunday,  Oct. 16 from noon to 4 p.m.
