More fun with Port A wildlife

So there I am, walking on the Port Aransas beach with a friend, just talking about this’n’that when he says, “Is that a cow?”

“A cow? Don’t be silly, there’s no cows on the beach… OMG, it’s a cow!”

A steer, actually. Just standing there on the sand, watching the waves. Maybe dreaming of surfing or sailing away to cooler pastures? We looked at him, he looked at us and then, finding us of no particular interest, turned and lumbered back behind the dunes.
